Barcelona El Prat Airport is 14 km away. The surrounding neighbourhood is well-served by restaurants within 300 metres-options include Barriguita, Can Vador, Casa Marcelino, and others-as well as supermarkets open until late. The area is quiet and feels safe, even for solo female travellers walking alone in the evening. For car-free trips around the city, the metro and bus stops are very close, and taxi or ride-sharing services are straightforward to catch. The location is particularly suited to guests wanting a central base away from the very busiest tourist zones of the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas.

Accommodation options include single-sex and mixed dormitories (4-bed, 6-bed, 12-bed, and 16-bed configurations) as well as private twin rooms with either shared or private bathrooms. Female-only dorms share bathroom facilities with private-room guests. Bunk beds are metal-framed and can be noisy, especially when the occupant moves. Top bunks have no solid ceiling, so overhead light from the room may disturb sleep. The beds at the ends have walls that make them shorter; people over about 1.90 m may find the bed length restrictive. Each bed has a reading light, one USB port, and a privacy curtain, but there are no standard wall power sockets inside the sleeping area - only the USB port. Lockers are located under the lower bunks and require a padlock; these lockers are also metal and can be noisy when opened. Rooms are generally basic but clean, with heating and air conditioning (controlled centrally in some rooms). There is no balcony. Some rooms have windows facing the street, which can let in outside noise from the city.

A basic self-serve breakfast is provided each morning, with croissants, fruit, and free coffee and tea, making it easy to start the day without leaving the hostel. A family-style dinner is offered every night for €3, prepared by volunteers or staff and served at 20:30. This is a social event that helps solo travellers connect. There is no restaurant or bar on site. For guests who prefer to cook their own meals, the hostel has a well-equipped shared kitchen with ample cookware, utensils, and fridge space. There is no separate dining room; the large communal lounge area serves as the dining space. Several supermarkets and a wide range of nearby restaurants (including Spanish, Asian, and Mediterranean options) are within a 5-minute walk for those wanting more variety. Free daily bike tours start at 10:30 (sign-up required the day before) and last about two hours, covering the main city landmarks. Bicycle rental costs €7 per day, available from 09:00 to 21:00. Helmets and locks are included with bike rental. Guests can also bring their own bicycle and store it securely inside. Evening activities include free movie nights and pub crawls, plus billiards and cycling. A guitar, board games, and a pool table are available in the communal lounge. The rooftop terrace is closed and there is no on-site wellness facility. The overall atmosphere is social rather than fitness-oriented, making it best suited to active travellers who want to explore Barcelona by bike and connect with others through communal meals and evening events.

The reception desk is staffed 24 hours, allowing check-in at any time. A free luggage storage room is available before check-in and after check-out until 20:00, and a separate luggage room can hold larger bags that do not fit in the lockers. Laundry service is available for a fee (€11). The shared kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove, toaster, electric kettle, and dining table. A vending machine offers drinks and snacks.
