CITAN Hostel is situated 600 metres from Suginomori Shrine, in a calm area away from major tourist congestion. Three metro lines (Asakusa, Ginza, others) are within a 3-minute walk, providing direct access to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, and Akihabara. Tokyo Station is a 15-20 minute walk or a short metro ride. Haneda Airport is 28 km away, accessible via train from nearby stations. No parking is available, but bicycle rental is offered. The neighbourhood has convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants within a few minutes' walk.

Room options include Double, Twin, Single, and Quadruple private rooms, as well as 4-bed and 8-bed dorms (male, female, mixed). All rooms use shared bathrooms separated by gender; private rooms on the King Double have a sink and mirror. Dorm beds feature privacy curtains, a reading light, and a personal locker (29cm x 84cm x 49cm). Dorm rooms can feel compact when suitcases are open, and upper bunks may be problematic for tall travellers. The property has air conditioning and heating. Some lower-floor rooms can hear noise from the bar until around midnight; earplugs are available. Rooms with concrete floors and exposed pipes have an industrial feel; some find them less comfortable for extended stays.

Berth Coffee on the ground floor is a speciality roastery open from early morning, serving breakfast options, excellent flat whites, and pastries. It is a popular spot for both guests and locals. The basement bar is open for dinner (European cuisine) and operates with DJ nights on weekends. The in-house brewery produces craft beer (lager, ale, etc.). The bar closes around 11 PM weeknights and slightly later on weekends. Breakfast is available at the café (separate charge); a shared kitchen is available for self-catering. Several restaurants and convenience stores are within a 1-minute walk.

Luggage storage is free on check-in and check-out days from 8 AM to 11 PM, allowing early arrival or late departure without baggage. A shared lounge and TV area is available on the first floor. The shared kitchen includes an induction hob, oven toaster, fridge, and shelf space. Laundry service costs 300 JPY (wash) and 100 JPY for 30 minutes of drying; detergent is provided. Bicycle rental costs 300 JPY per hour. The property has a lift, key-card access, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Towels are provided in private rooms; rental towels (200 JPY) available for dormitory stays. No airport shuttle service exists.
