DORMY INN PREMIUM SHIBUYA-JINGUMAE, Tokyo

The hotel is on a quiet side street yet is within a 10-minute walk of Shibuya Station, Harajuku Station, Yoyogi Park, and Takeshita Street. Direct airport access via Narita Express to Shibuya Station, then a 10-minute walk. No hotel shuttle or limousine bus connects directly to the property. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants, shops, and nightlife within walking distance. A LUUP bicycle and scooter rental station is located outside the hotel for easy local exploration.

Standard room dimensions are compact, typical for central Tokyo, and may limit space for opening luggage. All rooms feature carpeted floors, a safety deposit box, loungewear, and a small table. Beds have firm mattresses; pillows are thin and flat, with only one per person - additional pillows can be requested but may be of a firm buckwheat variety. The hotel is adjacent to train tracks; trains run from roughly 5am to midnight. Windows provide good sound insulation when closed, but rooms facing the tracks may experience audible noise. Certain rooms have windows facing a smoking balcony area; for privacy, the blackout curtains must be drawn, which blocks natural light. There are no balconies or connecting rooms. Additional beds cannot be added.

The breakfast buffet includes both Japanese and Western items; the selection is adequate and generally well-received. A restaurant on-site (レストラン #1) also serves Japanese and European cuisine for other meals. Complimentary items available throughout the day include ice cream after the public bath, probiotic drinks in the morning, and coffee/tea from vending machines. The free evening ramen is a popular feature, with noodles freshly prepared.

The second-floor public bath includes a large hot bath, cold bath, and dry sauna. It is free for all guests and is generally clean and well-maintained. Towels are provided in the room; no additional towels are available in the bath area. Tattoos are not permitted in the bath unless covered with a sticker from the front desk. After bathing, guests can enjoy free ice cream and probiotic drinks. There is no swimming pool.

Daily housekeeping is provided, though some rooms may not be serviced unless requested. Laundry facilities (coin-operated) are located in the public bath area. The hotel provides a lift, facilities for disabled guests, and a designated smoking booth on the first floor. Safety features include key card access, fire extinguishers, and safety deposit boxes. Fax/photocopying is available for a fee. No airport shuttle or private car service is offered; taxis cannot be pre-booked through the front desk. Pets are not allowed.
