Agave Inn is situated on State Street in Santa Barbara, just 2 km from Highway 101 and a 12-minute walk from Mission Santa Barbara. The property is 4 km from the city centre and 10 minutes' drive from Santa Barbara City College. East Beach is 6 km away. Nearby dining includes Italian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Indian restaurants, plus Renaud's Patisserie, all within a 0.5 km radius. Gelson's supermarket is across the street. Public transit is convenient with bus lines #6 and #11 stopping nearby. The area is quiet at night and felt safe. While downtown is walkable, the bus or a short drive is recommended for quicker access to the Funk Zone and the beach.

Each room features bright, modern Mexican-inspired décor with parquet flooring. Amenities include air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, a work desk, and a sitting area. All rooms have en suite private bathrooms with either a shower or bathtub (some rooms have heated floors). Selected rooms offer a kitchenette with cookware, electric kettle, and a full-sized refrigerator. Family rooms are available with two queen beds or one queen bed plus a sofa bed. Note that there is no lift; upper-floor rooms require stair access. Road-facing rooms may experience some street noise, while rooms away from the street tend to be quiet. Rooms are generally clean, spacious, and comfortable, with good quality bedding.

Agave Inn does not have its own restaurant. Breakfast may be offered as an option on some rate plans; check availability when booking. For other meals, the surrounding area on State Street provides numerous choices within a 5-minute walk: Italian, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian cuisine, plus Renaud's Patisserie, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Harry's Plaza Cafe. Gelson's supermarket is directly across the street for groceries and self-catering supplies. Guests with kitchenette rooms can prepare their own meals.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site (no reservation needed); the lot is limited, but overflow parking is available at the Pet Hospital lot next door or on the street. Daily housekeeping is included. Fax and photocopying are available for an additional charge. Security features include CCTV, fire extinguishers, and smoke alarms. Check-in uses a keypad entry system for convenience. Late arrivals after 21:00 must be arranged in advance. The property has no lift - rooms on the upper floor are staircase-access only. Pets are not allowed (service dogs are permitted). An ADA-accessible room with a queen bed on the first floor is available upon request.
