The location is the property's strongest asset, with the ocean and marina view defining the setting.

Room types include queen/king garden-view rooms and harbor-view suites. Garden-view rooms may have a patio but no balcony; harbor view rooms have a private balcony. The property also offers ADA-accessible rooms and suites with roll-in showers and grab bars. Rooms at the front on Cabrillo Boulevard can experience street noise, while top-floor rooms and those overlooking the courtyard are quieter. Bathrooms are private but can be compact; some rooms have updated showers. Certain rooms may have a musty or damp smell, possibly due to the older construction.
