The hotel sits on the bank of the Little Pigeon River, offering a peaceful setting just off the main tourist corridor. Ripley's Haunted Adventure is a five-minute walk away, and the Gatlinburg Convention Center is 800 m on foot. The Parkway with its shops, restaurants, and entertainment is reachable within a 10-15 minute walk; a free trolley stop is nearby for those who prefer not to drive. Dollywood is 18 km south, accessible by car. On-site free parking makes it easy to leave your vehicle and explore on foot. The neighbourhood has several restaurants within 0.3-0.5 km, including Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que and Cherokee Grill.

All rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen cable TV, a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Private bathrooms come with a hairdryer and a bath or shower. River-view rooms and most king rooms have a private balcony with outdoor furniture. Some suites add a fireplace and a separate living area - fireplaces are available on request at booking. Parquet floors and soundproofed walls are standard. The overall standard varies: some rooms have been recently renovated with modern finishes, while others show wear. Rooms facing the river tend to be quieter and offer the added bonus of occasional bear and goose sightings from the balcony. For space, the family rooms and two-bedroom penthouse provide ample room for groups. Note that not all rooms have balconies - standard double rooms without river view do not.

Each morning a continental breakfast is served in a small dining area; items typically include make-your-own waffles, bread, bagels, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and coffee. The breakfast area can become crowded at peak times. For other meals, the hotel has vending machines for drinks and snacks but no full restaurant. Within a three- to five-minute walk you will find Bennett's Pit Bar-B-Que, Back Street Etc, LeConte Deli, Sidewalk Cafe, Big Daddy's Pizzeria, and more. The front desk can recommend nearby options.

The outdoor pool is open seasonally and offers a pleasant spot to cool off after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The riverbank provides access for fishing (no equipment rental on site). Sun terrace with outdoor furniture is available for relaxing. No spa, gym, or other wellness facilities are present. The main leisure draw is the river itself - many guests spend time on their balcony or by the water watching wildlife, including bears, geese, and fish.

WiFi is free throughout the property. Free private parking is available without reservation, but the lot can be tight during busy periods. The 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage, photocopying/faxing, and safety deposit box access. Daily housekeeping is provided when requested; otherwise, fresh towels can be picked up at the front desk. Security features include key card access, 24-hour CCTV, and smoke alarms.
