HOTEL LOUVRE SAINTE ANNE, Paris

The hotel sits on quiet Rue Sainte-Anne, halfway between the Louvre (10 minutes walk) and Opéra Garnier (600 metres). Pyramides metro station is 3 minutes away on foot, giving direct access to lines 7 and 14, which connect to Saint-Lazare, Gare de l'Est and the rest of the city. Palais Royal, Tuileries Garden and the Seine are all within a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. The area is exceptionally safe and walkable at any hour, with a dense concentration of Japanese restaurants, Korean supermarkets, bakeries and several boulangeries on the same street. Bus 95 stops 3 minutes away for direct routes to many landmarks. Eiffel Tower is about 14 minutes by car or 28 minutes by metro. The hotel also offers easy taxi access to Gare du Nord (around 20 € by official taxi).

Rooms are typically on the smaller side, but are well laid out and very clean. Each has individually controlled air conditioning, soundproofing, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a minibar, electronic safe, direct-line telephone and a kettle (available on request). Bathrooms are en suite with a walk-in shower (some with a bathtub), hairdryer, towel dryer and free toiletries; some units have a shower adapted for wheelchairs. Family rooms, located on the 5th floor, offer a balcony with a view of the Paris rooftops and Sacré Cœur, and are larger than standard rooms. The lift stops at the 4th floor, so guests on the 5th should be prepared for a single flight of stairs. All rooms are non-smoking. Some rooms are carpeted. Extra pillows, cots and luggage storage are available on request.

The buffet breakfast costs 14.50 € per person and includes cereal, pastries, baguettes with butter and jam, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, juice, cold cuts, cheese, and a cooked offering of bacon, potatoes and sausages. Eggs are cooked to order. A lighter package (8.50 €) includes a hot drink, juice and two small pastries. Breakfast can also be taken in the room. Gluten-free options can be arranged upon request. The hotel has no restaurant or bar, but the surrounding streets are filled with Japanese, Korean and French restaurants within a 2-5 minute walk. In-room coffee is available for an extra 3 €.

The hotel does not offer any wellness or fitness facilities. For relaxation, the nearby Tuileries Garden, Seine riverside and Palais Royal gardens are within a 10-minute walk. The hotel can arrange cooking classes, pub crawls, walking tours and other activities (some with an additional charge, some off-site) through the concierge.
