NIU BARCELONA HOTEL, Barcelona

The hotel sits on Rambla del Raval, a lively central street with numerous bars, kebab shops, and vape stores. This provides abundant nearby dining, but also significant street noise - especially from a swing park and late-night venues. The immediate surroundings can feel unsafe after dark, with some poorly lit streets. The area is well connected: metro stations are close by, and the Gothic Quarter, La Boqueria market, and the beach are within a comfortable walk or short cycle. Barcelona El Prat Airport is 12 km away, reachable via a paid hotel shuttle or taxi.

Standard rooms are compact, best suited to solo travellers or couples. Single rooms are available with one bed. Larger double rooms offer a double bed and spacious bathroom, while triple rooms have three single beds (80x180 cm) and soundproofing. Deluxe rooms add a minibar, fridge, and a terrace with garden furniture. Rooms on higher floors or facing the green park are quieter. Road-facing rooms on Rambla del Raval are noisier, and earplugs are provided. The rooms are clean and modern, with parquet floors, a wardrobe, safe, and hairdryer. Some rooms have a small French balcony, but no full-sized balcony is available.

Breakfast is served in the lobby, starting early. The buffet includes a range of sweet and savoury items, suitable for vegetarians, but the serving area can feel busy. There is no on-site restaurant for other meals, but a snack bar and coffee shop in the hotel offer light bites and drinks. The location on Rambla del Raval provides immediate access to eight or more nearby restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk.

All areas have free high-speed Wi-Fi. The 24-hour reception offers concierge, tour desk, and daily housekeeping. Luggage storage is free both before check-in and after checkout. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. The hotel has a lift and facilities for disabled guests. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms, and a free safety deposit box. Cots are available for children up to 2 years. No on-site parking exists, but a partner car park nearby offers a discount with a voucher provided at check-in.
