The hotel sits on a lively street with bars, cafes and a square opposite that can be loud until late. The immediate neighbourhood is gritty, with some street drinkers and homeless people present, though the hotel entrance is secured with a 24-hour front door requiring staff to buzz visitors in. Sant Antoni Metro (L2) is 200 metres away, and Plaza Universitat (Aerobus stop from the airport) is a 500-metre walk. Las Ramblas, MACBA, and the Boqueria market are all within 10-15 minutes on foot. Several supermarkets, restaurants and a self-service laundry are nearby, making the location practical for self-sufficient travellers.

Rooms are recently renovated with a simple, modern finish, parquet floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. The private bathrooms feature a shower (note that the shower floor can be slippery) and include a hairdryer and toiletries. Beds are comfortable, and daily housekeeping changes towels and makes the bed. There is no fridge, kettle, or tea/coffee-making facilities in any room. Road-facing rooms on lower floors can be very noisy from the street and bars until the early hours, so a back-facing or higher-floor room is preferable for light sleepers. Triple rooms come with three single beds, and some twin configurations can be swapped for a double bed on request. Room sizes range from adequate for a single or couple to spacious for triple rooms, but the triple option becomes cramped when the third bed is added.

Breakfast is a Mediterranean buffet including scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, Iberian ham, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, juices and coffee. The quality and variety are good for a three-star hotel, though it repeats daily, and hot items are not always kept warm. The dining area has a simple, functional style. The hotel no longer has a restaurant for other meals, but the surrounding streets offer numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, including a popular corner cafe downstairs.

The property has no spa, swimming pool or fitness centre. Its central location provides easy access to Barcelona's main sights, including Las Ramblas, MACBA, the Boqueria market and the Gothic Quarter, all within a 10-20 minute walk. Sant Antoni Metro station connects to Sagrada Familia and Casa Batlló in less than 15 minutes.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and public areas. The 24-hour reception team can provide early check-in or late arrivals without extra charge, lend an iron and ironing board, and help with directions or booking taxis. Free luggage storage is available in a secure room before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping includes towel changes and bed-making. Safety deposit boxes are in all rooms. Parking is on-site, underground, and secured at 20€ per night but cannot be reserved in advance. There is no shuttle service to the airport or port, but the Aerobus from Plaza Universitat and local taxis provide connections. Cots are available on request, but no strollers or bicycles are provided. The hotel has two lifts and is wheelchair accessible with grab rails in the accessible toilet.
