ILUNION AUDITORI, Barcelona

The hotel sits in Barcelona's Eixample, just off the Gothic Quarter, placing it within easy walking distance of the Arc de Triomf, Barcelona Nord bus station, and the Auditori. L1 (Arc de Triomf) and L2 (Monumental) metro stations are both about five minutes away, giving quick access to the city centre, Sagrada Familia (2 km), and Ciutadella Park. Many top sights - Plaça de Catalunya, Casa Milà, and the Gothic Cathedral - are reachable on foot in 15-20 minutes. The surrounding streets are filled with supermarkets, bakeries, tapas bars, and budget-friendly restaurants, making self-catering or casual dining easy. For airport transfers, a train from El Prat to Arc de Triomf station is the most direct route. The neighbourhood is generally safe and well-connected, though some streets can feel a little worn around the edges. The Barcelona Nord bus station is a key transport hub only ten minutes away, ideal for FlixBus or regional services.

The rooftop pool sits on the seventh floor, offering panoramic views of Barcelona's rooftops. It is open during the summer season (typically May to September, 09:30-19:30) and is surrounded by sun loungers and umbrellas. The pool area is compact and can feel busy when the hotel is full. The fitness centre is free of charge and equipped with cardiovascular machines (treadmills, cross-trainers), though some equipment may show wear. There is no spa, sauna, or wellness centre on site. The rooftop terrace is accessible only during pool opening hours; the area is closed after 19:30.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and works well in public areas; the first-floor lounge offers additional seating and stronger signal if needed. Luggage storage is free, allowing early arrivals or late departures to drop bags and explore the city. The hotel has four meeting rooms (Gran Fórum up to 60 pax, Fórum A up to 40 pax, Fórum B up to 20 pax, Privado up to 50 pax) equipped with modern AV technology. Private on-site parking costs €16-20 per night and is underground and secure, but the height restriction of 2.10-2.15 m prevents taller vehicles from entering (free street parking is available directly outside for those vehicles). Electric vehicle charging points are available at no extra cost. The hotel holds a universal accessibility certificate with wheelchair-accessible rooms, emergency cords in bathrooms, lower sinks, raised toilets with grab rails, and tactile/Braille signage. Staff are trained to assist. Daily housekeeping is free; laundry and ironing are available for an additional charge. Pets are allowed on request - the hotel offers a pet welcome pack including a bed, feeder, drinker, and toy. Smoking is prohibited in all areas. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Diners Club and MasterCard.
