Key attractions within a short walk include Karl Johans Gate shopping street (1 minute), Oslo Opera House (6 minutes), Akershus Fortress, and the Munch Museum. The urban Grünerløkka district is a few tram stops away. For families, the Oslo Spectrum arena is a 1-minute walk.

Rooms are on the smaller side, especially standard doubles and twin rooms - compact but clean and functional, best suited for short stays or travellers who prioritise location over space. Superior rooms and junior suites offer more room, separate living areas, and more reliable bathtubs. Family rooms come with a double bed and bunk beds, though space is tight for four. Superior family rooms are the only category with connecting doors. Many rooms have views over the city, the Oslo Fjord, or a quiet inner courtyard - request a courtyard view for a quieter sleep, as street-facing rooms can pick up tram and traffic noise, especially at night. There is no air conditioning; a central ventilation system provides cooling, and a floor-standing fan can be requested if needed. Rooms have heating, a desk, safe, and mini fridge. Bathrooms are private and en-suite; the bathroom size is about 4 m² and includes either a shower or bathtub. Heated bathroom floors are appreciated. No rooms have balconies.
