HOTEL SONYA, Rome

Repubblica metro station and bus stops are around the corner, providing quick links across the city. Most major sights - the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps - are within a 15-30 minute walk. The area is well-served by restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, and a Carrefour supermarket right across the street. Leonardo Express trains from FCO airport reach Termini in about 25 minutes, followed by a 10-minute walk. For car-free travellers, the location is highly practical; the nearest parking is not at the hotel.

The breakfast voucher entitles you to a set menu (e.g. a hot drink plus a croissant, yogurt, and juice). For a wider selection, the surrounding streets are lined with restaurants, cafés, and pizzerias within a block. The hotel itself has no restaurant or bar, but the 24-hour reception offers complimentary coffee. A Carrefour supermarket is directly across the road, and many local eateries stay open until late. Wine or champagne can be ordered for an additional charge.

Leisure is focused on exploring the city: the hotel provides free guided walking tours, bike tours, and cooking classes (all included in the stay), and bicycle rental is available for an extra charge. For guests seeking traditional wellness facilities, there are no on-site options. The Opera House directly opposite is a notable cultural venue.

The 24-hour reception can arrange airport/port transfers (to FCO for €48 for up to 4 people; to Civitavecchia for €150 for 2), provide maps and ticket booking, and offer free use of umbrellas. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, kept in an open lobby area. Laundry and ironing services are available for a fee; no guest laundry facilities are on site. Safety features include CCTV, security alarms, and a safe in every room. Cots are available on request. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, JCB, Maestro, CartaSi, and MasterCard.
