The property sits on a pedestrianised street just off Las Ramblas, placing you within a minute of the main plaza and in the heart of the city's cultural and nightlife district. The Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral, and countless tapas bars and restaurants are all within a five-minute walk. La Boqueria market is a few minutes away. The nearest metro station is a short walk, providing direct access to the rest of the city. For airport transfers, the Aerobus runs from Plaça Catalunya (10 minutes walk) every 15-20 minutes for €7,25 per trip. note that taxis cannot reach the hostel entrance due to the pedestrian street, so you will need to walk a short distance from the drop-off point. The surrounding streets are busy day and night; while the immediate area is generally safe, some nearby streets are less well-lit at night.

Both shared dormitories and private rooms are available, all with a private bathroom (shower, toilet, and sink) within the room. Dormitories (typically 8 to 10 beds) feature modern bunk beds with individual reading lights, charging ports, and a personal locker (with key provided at check-in). Private rooms range from double rooms to quadruple and family rooms, often with a double bed and bunk bed setup, accommodating 2 to 4 people. The family rooms offer a wardrobe and an inner courtyard view. All rooms are air-conditioned and have heating. Some rooms have limited natural light and windows that may not open fully. The building has a lift for easy access to upper floors. Housekeeping is available daily, but some areas under beds may remain dusty.

A continental breakfast buffet is offered each morning for €4.95 per person. It includes toast, pastries, bread, sweet cakes, butter, jam, and hot drinks (coffee and tea). The breakfast is self-service and considered basic; for those wanting a fuller meal, there is a well-regarded bakery directly opposite the hostel and many other cafés and restaurants within a one-minute walk. Dinner is not served at the property. The hostel has a small shared kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and oven that can be used to prepare simple meals. Vending machines selling drinks and snacks are available 24/7 in the common area.

The hostel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. Instead, it offers a range of social and leisure activities designed to help guests meet one another. These include free walking tours (several times a week), a nightly welcome event with a free sangria workshop, table tennis, a games room, and a shared lounge/TV area with plenty of seating. Bike tours and pub crawls are available for an additional charge. Evening entertainment is also provided on some nights. The common area is spacious and well-used, with a fridge, microwave, and kettle for guest use.

The 24-hour reception team is multilingual and can help with recommendations, transport info, and tours. Wi-Fi is free in public areas and available throughout most of the building. Luggage storage is available for €3.50 per person for up to 12 hours, allowing you to explore after check-out. A laundry service is offered for a fee. The hostel has a lift, wheelchair access, and facilities for disabled guests. A paid airport shuttle (€45 each way) can be arranged directly. Private parking is located off-site and costs €28 per day, with a reservation required. Safety includes 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and a safety deposit box at reception. A hairdryer is available for free at reception (with a €10 refundable deposit).
