TRU BY HILTON OCEAN CITY BAYSIDE, MD, Ocean City

The hotel sits just across Coastal Highway from the beach, providing quick, pedestrian-friendly access to the shoreline. It is located less than 1 km from the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, making it a practical choice for event attendees. A bus stop right in front of the hotel offers easy public transit along the main strip, while the boardwalk is about 5 km away. Various dining options including Tony Luke's, Anthony's Beer and Wine, OC Wasabi, and Shmagel's Bagels are within a 0.5 km walk, adding convenience for meals without the need to drive.

Rooms feature modern amenities including air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, an alarm clock, and a work desk. The private bathrooms have a walk-in shower, free toiletries, and quality towels. Floors have LVP (luxury vinyl plank) flooring instead of carpet, which is easier to keep clean, especially for pet owners. Room sizes are generally functional but not large; storage is limited to hooks and a few hangers, with no drawers or closets in some units. Some rooms offer bay views, but ocean views are not available from the property. The air conditioning units can be loud, so light sleepers may want to plan accordingly.

Breakfast is included in the stay and offers a wide variety: juices, milk, coffee, hot tea, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal/grits, cereals, a build-your-own pancake bar, an egg item, a protein item, and English muffins or bagels. During busy times the pancake station can have a queue, but the buffet is generally well-stocked. A snack bar in the lobby offers items for purchase, including wine and champagne. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available for free 24/7. The breakfast room may have a TV on with sound; guests preferring a quieter setting may choose to sit further from it.

WiFi is free in all areas and suitable for browsing and email; full streaming access is available for a fee. Free on-site parking is available but requires a reservation in advance. An EV charging station for two cars costs $10 per session. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, concierge service, and luggage storage. The property has a lift, wheelchair accessibility, and a business centre. Safety features include key card access, CCTV, and safety deposit boxes. Pets are allowed (up to two per room, with fees and weight limit of 34 kg). A minimarket on site sells snacks and drinks. Housekeeping is not daily, and requests for fresh towels may need to be made at the front desk.
