ACTA BCN 40, Barcelona

The hotel is located in the El Raval district, a lively multicultural area with many bars, restaurants, and shops within a short walk. Plaza Universitat (metro L1/L2) and the Aerobus stop are a 3-minute walk, providing easy airport access. La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter are within 5-10 minutes on foot. The cruise port is about 4 km away (taxi ~15€). The immediate streets can feel less safe at night due to poorly lit alleys and a high concentration of bars, so caution is advised, especially for solo travellers. Taxi drivers may drop you a short walk from the hotel. For drivers, no on-site parking exists, but a discounted public car park is 5 minutes away. Overall, the location is excellent for exploring the city, but awareness of the surrounding area after dark is recommended.

Room sizes vary: some are compact while double rooms offer more space. Bed types (double or twin) are subject to availability. All rooms are soundproofed, but street-facing rooms may experience noise from bars; earplugs are provided at reception. Some rooms include a balcony, though these may face adjacent bars. Kettles are available on request at the front desk; there is no minibar or in-room fridge (a communal fridge is in the reception area). Daily housekeeping is included; dry cleaning is available for an extra charge. The private bathrooms feature a hairdryer, toiletries, and either a bathtub or shower. Rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter. Cots can be added to twin/double rooms but not to single rooms. Maximum occupancy is 3 persons.

Breakfast includes fresh fruit, pastries, bread, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, and hot drinks. Gluten-free alternatives are available if arranged in advance. The breakfast room also serves as a lounge where free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are offered daily from 12:00 to 20:00. For other meals, the surrounding streets offer a wide range of restaurants, bars, and cafés within a 5-10 minute walk, including local favourites like Fabrica Moritz and Teresa Carles. The hotel has a small snack bar with packaged items for quick bites. Special diet menus are possible for breakfast upon request, but the hotel cannot cater to all dietary restrictions for other meals.
