The business district, Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art (5 minutes), Royal Concert Hall (12 minutes), and many restaurants and bars are all within easy walking distance. The area is lively, with some street noise, but the location is ideal for exploring the city without a car.

The hotel offers single, double, and twin rooms across four floors. Singles are on the 4th floor with walk-in showers; doubles and twins have a shower over bath. Rooms include a hairdryer, desk, and electric kettle. The accommodation is clean and practical, but furnishings, carpeting and bathroom finishes can appear dated, with some rooms having stained carpets, cracked tiles, or mould around seals. Noise and vibration from passing trains can be felt in certain rooms, especially those facing the street. A room at the back may be quieter.
