B&B LA FESTA, Amsterdam

The Jordaan is one of Amsterdam's trendiest neighbourhoods, packed with cafes, galleries, and bookshops. The Anne Frank House is within walking distance. Public transport is excellent: bus from Schiphol directly to Elandsgracht (5-minute walk) or a train to Central Station with many trams stopping nearby. Tram 17 from Central Station stops very close to the B&B. This central location means most major attractions, shops, and restaurants are reachable on foot. The immediate surroundings offer a supermarket across the road and dozens of dining spots, including Italian, Indonesian, and seafood options.

Accommodation includes a standard double room and a double room with a private balcony. The standard room is larger, has air conditioning, a window that can open, and is quieter. The balcony room is compact (even by Amsterdam standards) and has only a fan, no air conditioning. It overlooks a small side street and provides a place to sit outside, but the balcony is private for that room. Both rooms feature a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, a hairdryer, free toiletries, tea and coffee maker, minibar, heating, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Bed configuration is a double bed; two beds cannot be joined. For noise sensitivity, the standard room is the better choice - the balcony room can be noisier due to street sounds and internal movement.

Breakfast is an additional charge (15 EUR) and must be ordered via message - it is not automatically included or offered upon arrival. The property has an Italian restaurant on the ground floor (La Festa) that serves dinner. Many guests find that the abundance of nearby cafes and restaurants (including Pancakes Amsterdam, Pazzi Italian Slow Food, and several others within 300 m) provides more variety and convenience for other meals.

For fitness, several large gyms with extended hours are within walking distance, suitable for workouts before 7 am or after 6 pm. The real leisure draw is the surrounding Jordaan neighbourhood - walking tours, canal-side strolls, art galleries, and bookshops are all immediately accessible.

Key amenities include free in-room Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a minibar, and tea/coffee making facilities. Safety features include CCTV outside, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key card access, and a free safety deposit box. The hosts offer private check-in/out and can assist with luggage up the stairs.
