DI-ANN CITY CENTRE HOTEL, Amsterdam

The hotel is on a main street with direct tram access to Central Station, museums, and other major sights. The surrounding area is packed with dining options - The Pancake Bakery, The Duchess, and Jansz are all within a 5-minute walk. While the central position is ideal for sightseeing, street noise from trams and traffic can be heard in front-facing rooms.

Most rooms are small and furnished with essential amenities: a comfortable bed (often noted as firm), cable/satellite TV, an alarm clock, and free WiFi. Some rooms include a private balcony with views of the canal or street. There is no air conditioning or minibar; heating is via radiators, which may not be sufficient during colder months. The bathrooms are private with a shower, free toiletries, and hairdryer but can be very compact. No tea/coffee making facilities are provided in rooms. The steep staircase is a defining feature - guests must climb multiple floors to reach their room. Some rooms have reported inconsistent cleanliness, while others are clean and well-maintained. A recent renovation has updated some rooms, but the overall style remains basic and functional.

The hotel does not have a spa, gym, pool, or other leisure amenities. A shared terrace is available for relaxation and has a smoking area. The location compensates by providing easy access to Amsterdam's attractions, parks, and entertainment districts.

The 24-hour reception provides security and can assist with tours, luggage storage (though unmonitored), and private check-in/out. The property has key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms for safety. Housekeeping is provided daily but its consistency has varied. There is no concierge, business centre, or meeting rooms. Fax/photocopying is free of charge. The adults-only policy applies to all bookings.
