Location

Hotel Europa sits directly on Puerta del Sol, the vibrant heart of Madrid, with Sol metro station just a minute's walk away.

Plaza Mayor is 400 metres from the hotel, and the Royal Palace is a 10-minute walk. The area is pedestrian-only, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Airport access: 25-30 minutes by taxi, 45-60 minutes by metro or bus. Many nearby landmarks are within easy walking distance, making this an ideal base for sightseeing.

Accommodation

Air-conditioned rooms include a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, fridge, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms feature a private balcony with Puerta del Sol views.

Room types range from singles to quadruples and connected family rooms. All have private bathrooms with bath or shower. Superior rooms have showers, and some rooms offer a terrace or balcony. Double beds are queen-size. Rooms have been recently renovated, though some may feel compact. Square-facing rooms offer lively views but come with ambient noise; interior courtyard rooms are quieter. Daily housekeeping is provided.

Dining

A continental breakfast buffet (€13 per person) is served from 07:00 to 10:30. The hotel also has an à la carte restaurant, a café-bar with outdoor seating, and room service.

Breakfast includes breads, pastries, cereals, fruits, and hot dishes. Special diet menus are available on request. The restaurant offers local cuisine, and the café-bar has a terrace overlooking the square. Kids' meals, wine/champagne, and snacks are also available. Room service operates 24 hours. For those preferring to dine out, the surrounding area offers many restaurants.

Wellness and Leisure

The hotel does not have a spa or swimming pool, but offers paid activity options including bicycle rental, bike tours, and walking tours.

Themed dinner nights are also organised. These activities provide additional ways to explore Madrid. The central location makes it easy to join city tours or rent bikes to see the sights. Those looking for on-site leisure facilities should note that none are available beyond these activity add-ons.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The hotel offers 24-hour front desk, free luggage storage, daily housekeeping, and paid laundry service.

Parking is available at a nearby public car park (€27 per day, no reservation needed). Accessible parking is also available.
