HOTEL GINEBRA, Barcelona

Set in the heart of Barcelona, the hotel sits directly on Plaça de Catalunya, the city's main transport and shopping hub. The Aerobús airport shuttle stop is immediately outside, providing a direct 35-minute link to El Prat Airport. The main train and metro station is 100 metres away, giving access to lines L1 and L3, while hop-on hop-off buses stop at the square. La Rambla and the luxury boutiques of Passeig de Gràcia are a 2-minute walk. Many restaurants and shops are within a block, including El Corte Inglés department store. The Gothic Quarter is a 5-minute walk, and Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, and the Barcelona Cathedral are within easy walking distance. Government parking is next door, though this is a paid public facility - nearby private parking options are Parking Saba Bamsa Rambla Catalunya and Parking Coliseum. Windows with double glazing help reduce street noise, but rooms facing the square can still hear late-night activity.

Breakfast is not served on-site but at partner establishments within a short walk. Options include an Italian trattoria offering a continental breakfast (8.50 EUR per person) consisting of coffee, juice, and a choice of croissant, bombolone, yogurt granola, or fruit salad. Alternatively, a breakfast at the nearby restaurant Can Plaça includes coffee, a hot or cold sandwich, and juice. A full buffet is not available. A wide range of restaurants, including Bacoa, Honest Greens, Hard Rock Cafe, and El Nacional, are within 300-500 metres. The El Corte Inglés department store on Plaça de Catalunya has a 9th-floor food hall with affordable options and city views. A snack bar and vending machines are available in the hotel for drinks and snacks. For those wanting a lighter option, the room has coffee/tea facilities and a minibar.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk with express check-in/out and private check-in available. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Luggage storage is free of charge and available before check-in and after checkout, allowing flexibility. Laundry service costs 6 EUR per bag. Ironing is free upon request. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and a free safety deposit box in each room. The lift serves all floors, though 4 steps exist between the street entrance and the lift lobby. Parking is available at a nearby public garage (Saba Bamsa Rambla Catalunya or Parking Coliseum) at around 42 EUR per day; reservation is not possible through the hotel. The building entrance is locked at night; guests are given multiple keys (street door, lift, room). Vending machines for snacks and drinks are available. Business facilities include fax/photocopying at an additional charge. The hotel is non-smoking throughout.
