GRUPOTEL CINCO PLAZAS, Puerto del Carmen (Lanzarote)

The apartments are situated close to the main strip of Puerto del Carmen, which offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. A large supermarket is across the road, and a minimarket is on site. Lanzarote Golf Resort and Jardín de Cactus Gardens are within a short drive, and Rancho Texas Park is 2 km away. The location is excellent for exploring on foot, but the complex is on a slight hill-the walk to the beach is downhill and manageable, though the return may feel steep for some.

The accommodation consists of one- and two-bedroom apartments and studios, all with a seating area, flat-screen TV, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. Kitchens include a hob, espresso machine, and cookware. Private bathrooms feature a shower and hairdryer. While the apartments are generally spacious, some furnishings and décor are dated. Studios are smaller and have an open-plan layout, while apartments provide separate bedrooms benefiting families. Many units offer a balcony or terrace with outdoor furniture. The rooms with pool views are particularly popular, while some lower-floor units near service areas have less appealing outlooks and can be noisier. Housekeeping typically cleans and changes towels every two days, but daily servicing may need to be requested at reception. The apartments are well suited for families and groups who value location and self-catering flexibility over modern design.

The restaurant offers a traditional and modern ambience and is open for brunch and lunch (Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00-17:00). The pool bar provides a selection of reasonably priced food and drinks, including pizza, Mexican dishes, and iced coffees, with a snack bar available. A continental breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant and includes a variety of options; it is well-regarded for its hot items like Irish breakfast and eggs benedict. The breakfast service finishes at 10:00. For guests who prefer to eat out, the surrounding area offers numerous dining options within a short walk on the main strip. The restaurant is quiet in the evenings, with no evening entertainment on-site.

WiFi is free and available throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with car hire, currency exchange, and ATM services. A minimarket is located on site. The property has key access and CCTV for security. Daily housekeeping is standard, with towels and linens changed regularly. Luggage storage is available free of charge for guests with late flights, and a courtesy shower room can be used before departure. The complex is wheelchair accessible, with facilities for disabled guests, including a lower bathroom sink and a toilet with grab rails. Business facilities (fax/photocopying) are available at no extra cost. No parking is provided on site. Porterage or assistance with luggage is not typically offered by staff.
