IBIS WIEN HAUPTBAHNHOF, Vienna

Crossing the street puts you directly inside Wien Hauptbahnhof, with direct Railjet trains reaching Vienna International Airport in about 15 minutes. The U1 metro line connects to the historic centre (Stephansplatz, Opera) within 5-10 minutes. Belvedere Palace and its gardens are a 10-minute walk away, and the Albertina Museum is 2 km from the property. The area around the station is modern and safe, with multiple restaurants, supermarkets (Spar, Billa), and shops available inside the station building. The hotel sits on a quieter side street despite the central transport hub, and the surroundings are well-lit and walkable day or night.

The hotel offers only double rooms (one double bed or two single beds) with a maximum occupancy of 2 persons. No extra beds, cots, or family rooms are available; families with a child must book two rooms. Each room includes individually controlled air conditioning (switched to heating in winter), soundproofed walls and windows, blackout curtains, carpeted floors, a seating area, and a desk. Bathrooms are private with a walk-in shower or bathtub, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Storage is limited to an open hanging rail - no wardrobe. Noise levels are generally low due to triple-glazing, though rooms on lower floors facing the street may catch some station activity. The rooms are considered spacious by Ibis standards, with a modern, clean design, but amenities are minimal: no kettle, safe, fridge, iron, or telephone. Free hot water is available from the ground-floor bar.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, wellness centre, or gym. For relaxation, Belvedere Palace and its baroque gardens are a 10-minute walk away, and Stadtpark (2 km) offers green space for walks. The surrounding area is well-served by public transport, making it simple to reach Vienna's thermal baths, leisure parks, and cultural venues. The hotel itself provides a business centre on the ground floor with computers and printing, and the lobby lounge area with complimentary coffee machines can be used for casual meetings or downtime.

WiFi is free and reliable across all areas. The 24-hour front desk can assist with early/late check-in requests, tours, dry cleaning (paid), packed lunches, and booking taxis or airport transfers (though no dedicated hotel shuttle exists; the Railjet train from the station is the recommended connection). Free luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out, though only until evening on the day of departure. Daily housekeeping is included; if you leave your room after 11:30 it may not be serviced that day. Accessibility features include an emergency cord in the bathroom, lower sink, raised toilet, and grab rails - the hotel has lifts and facilities for disabled guests. Pets are allowed (charges apply). Payment can be made by American Express, Visa, or MasterCard. An electric vehicle charging station and accessible parking are available in the public garage underneath the hotel.
