The Marienplatz U-Bahn and S-Bahn station is a 2-3 minute walk, providing direct links to Munich Central Station (two stops) and Munich Airport. All major sights, the Christmas markets, shops, and dozens of restaurants are within a 1-7 minute walk. Car access involves narrow streets and construction areas; the nearest 24-hour garage with a hotel discount is 2-3 minutes away. For travellers arriving by train from Salzburg, take any suburban train towards Ostbahnhof, exit at Marienplatz, and follow the Kaufingerstrasse towards the main station, turning left between Douglas and Five Guys.
