Hotel Schlicker sits on Tal, just 200 metres from Marienplatz, which offers U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines 3 and 6 (exit D). The Hofbrauhaus brewery and Munich City Hall are within 250 metres. Marienplatz station provides direct trains to Munich Airport (approx. €18) and the Messe exhibition centre. The Hop-on Hop-off bus stop and a taxi rank are right outside. Dozens of restaurants, beer halls, shops, and the Viktualienmarkt are within a few minutes' walk, making the entire old town accessible on foot.

Front-building rooms are fully renovated and face the busy street; they have air conditioning but can experience traffic noise. Rear-building rooms are very quiet, with modern furniture, and most also have air conditioning (except the Loft Apartment). Room types include single, double, twin (twin beds can be separated), double large, junior suites, and a Maisonette. Some rooms are compact, while others - like the junior suite on the 4th floor overlooking the courtyard - are spacious. In-room amenities include a flat-screen satellite TV, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities (some items at additional cost), safe, hairdryer, and free toiletries. No rooms have balconies. Connecting rooms are limited to the Maisonette and one junior suite. Extra beds can be added in double large rooms and suites. The hotel has two lifts serving all floors.
