Major landmarks like the Colosseum are about 10 minutes on foot, Saint Peter's Basilica 20 minutes. The surrounding streets contain many restaurants, gelaterias and cafes. The Barberini Metro station is a 5-minute walk, linking to Termini Railway Station in a few stops. Airport transfers by private car cost €60.00 for two persons or €65.00 one-way for the group; the Leonardo Express train from Fiumicino arrives at Termini every 30 minutes. Cobblestone streets mean luggage wheels can be challenging; a short drop-off point is typical for taxis.

Accommodation ranges from single rooms to family units and suites, some with round beds, jacuzzi baths, separate living areas, or balconies with city views. Rooms in the main building are generally better maintained, while annex rooms can vary from spacious and renovated to dark, cramped attic spaces with poor ventilation and windows facing walls or a bin store. Some rooms have thin walls and poor soundproofing, so light sleepers should request a quiet location. The annex lift is tiny (fits one person with one bag) and the slowest in the world according to some accounts. Daily housekeeping is available for a charge; additional cleaning may be requested. Many rooms have carpeted floors which may show wear. Bedding comfort is often praised, with high-quality duvets and pillows.

The buffet includes fresh pastries, yoghurt, fruits, cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, scrambled and fried eggs, plus a coffee machine and juice dispenser. Hand-made cappuccinos are available from staff upon request. The breakfast room is situated on the 5th floor via lift and then a short flight of stairs - not ideal for those with severe mobility limitations. Room service operates from 07:00 to 21:00. However, the Trevi Fountain is a 1-minute stroll away, and the Spanish Steps, Via Condotti shopping, and numerous piazzas are within 5-10 minutes on foot. For relaxation, the neighbourhood gelaterias like Il Gelato di San Crispino or Gelateria Valentino are within 300 metres. The rooftop terrace is reserved for breakfast service and not available as a guest lounge area.
