The Anchorage Resort occupies a prime waterfront position on Blackwater Sound, with all units overlooking the bay. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and its beach are 8 km (8 km) away. Everglades National Park is a 37-minute drive, and the Spiegel Grove shipwreck reef is 8 km offshore. The property is close to several seafood restaurants and bars accessible on foot, and boaters can reach waterfront dining and islands directly by water. The location works well for both overnight stops and extended stays exploring the upper Florida Keys, with easy access to diving, fishing, and nature excursions. The quiet setting is appreciated for its tranquil evenings, yet remains convenient for Key Largo attractions.

Each suite is a fully furnished one-bedroom unit with a separate living area, dining table, and a private screened balcony overlooking the water. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, stove top, convection microwave, and all necessary cookware, dishes, and utensils. Granite countertops are standard. The bedroom has one king-size bed, and the living area has a queen-size sofa bed, making the suite suitable for up to four people. Two flat-screen cable televisions are provided - one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Amenities include air conditioning, heating, a safe, and free toiletries. The suite is accessed by lift, and some units are on upper floors with enhanced views. The property is older but well-maintained, and the screened balcony allows guests to enjoy the outdoors without mosquitoes.

The Anchorage Resort does not operate a restaurant, bar, or breakfast service. The full kitchen in each suite is stocked with cookware, utensils, and basic supplies, allowing guests to prepare their own meals. A vending machine with drinks is available, and filtered coffee and cookies are occasionally offered in the lobby. Several casual seafood restaurants and bars are within a short walk through the gate, including Blackwater Siren and other waterfront dining spots. Boaters can also access a variety of waterfront restaurants and island eateries by boat. For a wider selection of dining, guests can drive to the many restaurants along the main highway in Key Largo.

The resort offers a heated outdoor swimming pool open all year, with a pool that has a shallow end, a fence around it, and pool/beach towels and sun umbrellas provided. Sun loungers and chairs are set up around the pool area, which overlooks the harbour. Sports facilities include a tennis court (with free equipment), badminton, fishing from the dock, and a combined pickleball, shuffleboard, basketball court. The grounds feature a BBQ and picnic area with outdoor furniture, a garden, and a sun terrace. The pool and leisure areas are well-maintained and provide a relaxing environment for families and couples. Live music from a neighbouring resort can be heard from the pool deck in the late afternoon until around 10 pm, adding to the atmosphere.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Free private parking is available on site without reservation, and accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station are provided. The property has a lift, facilities for disabled guests, and is fully non-smoking. Daily housekeeping is available for an additional charge. A laundry room is located on the third floor, with a change machine in the lobby. Guests can use the luggage storage and the safety deposit box at reception. The resort offers private check-in/check-out, a concierge service, and an after-hours lockbox for late arrivals. Security features include gated entry with a code, key access, CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. A fax/photocopying service is available for a fee. Service animals are accepted with certification; emotional support animals are not.
