HOTEL FRANCE LOUVRE, Paris

The hotel sits between the historic Marais district and central Paris landmarks. Notre-Dame Cathedral is a 5-minute walk away, the Louvre Museum is 10 minutes on foot, and many major sights including the Eiffel Tower (accessible via metro) are within easy reach. Hôtel de Ville metro station (line 1) is 2 minutes away, providing direct service to the Champs-Élysées, La Défense, and the Louvre. Gare du Nord is 20 minutes by metro and about 15 minutes by taxi. The surrounding streets are filled with cafés, patisseries, boutiques, and restaurants, making the neighbourhood lively both day and night. For those driving, the closest private parking is a few minutes' walk but costs 38€ per day. The area is very walkable for sightseeing and dining, and public transport is frequent and straightforward.

Standard and superior rooms are available. Twin beds are offered only in superior rooms. All rooms include a flat-screen satellite TV, minibar, electric kettle, and free toiletries. Bathrooms have a bathtub or shower, and a hairdryer. Some rooms on the 5th floor have a small balcony - request at booking for availability. Rooms overlooking the street generally provide more natural light and city views; interior courtyard rooms are quieter but can feel darker. The property has no air conditioning; a fan is provided in summer and a space heater in winter. Noise from plumbing and neighbouring rooms can be noticeable, particularly in lower-floor rooms. The lift is functional but very small, accommodating only one person with modest luggage. The building is an older Haussmann-style structure, and the interior shows signs of age, including worn carpets and dated bathrooms in some units. Single rooms are compact, while superior doubles offer more space. Daily housekeeping is included and room servicing is generally reliable.

Breakfast is offered for a supplement of 14€ per person per day, featuring a buffet with bread, pastries, hot drinks, cereals, meats, cheeses, and juices. The setting in the vaulted cellar is atmospheric and well-maintained. Breakfast can be taken in the guest room at no extra charge, which is a convenient option for early departures or those wanting to start the day privately. Tea and coffee are available free of charge in the 1st-floor lounge each afternoon between 15:00 and 20:00. There is no on-site restaurant or bar, but the Rue de Rivoli and Marais area are filled with dozens of restaurants, brasseries, cafés, bakeries, and patisseries within a 2-3 minute walk, offering a wide range of cuisines and price points. The lounge also hosts daily newspapers for reading.

There is no spa, swimming pool, gym, or wellness centre on the property. For relaxation, guests can use the shared lounge/TV area on the 1st floor, which has complimentary tea and coffee during the afternoon and daily newspapers. The hotel's central location places it within a short walk of the Jardin des Plantes, the Tuileries Garden, and the Seine riverbanks, which are used for walking, jogging, and picnics. The area is ideal for exploring museums, galleries, shopping, and historic streets on foot. Active guests can easily access the Marais for walking tours, boutiques, and café culture without needing transport.
