Hotel Details

Location

Situated in the vibrant Shinjuku area, a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku Station and close to Golden Gai, Kabukichō, and Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (1 km).
Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is 1 km away, Meiji Shrine is 2 km, and Haneda International Airport is a 50-minute train ride. The immediate area is full of restaurants, bars, and shops - Nabezo Shinjuku 3 Chome (0.5 km) and several eateries (0.5 km) are nearby. The neighbourhood is lively and central, making it easy to walk to all major Shinjuku attractions, though street noise can carry into the rooms. The walk to Shinjuku Station is about 10-15 minutes, and the closest metro station (Shinjuku-sanchome) is about 3-5 minutes on foot. This location is highly practical for those wanting to explore Tokyo's busiest district without relying on taxis.

Accommodation

Dormitories, private family rooms, and Japanese-style rooms - all air-conditioned with individual bed curtains, bed lights, and power outlets in dormitories.
Rooms are basic and functional, with air conditioning and heating. Dormitory beds are fitted with privacy curtains, reading lights, and plug outlets, but there is no shelf or personal locker near the bed for storing larger items - only a small space on the floor. The family room offers 4 bunk beds and a tatami area for a 5th guest, with a secure door lock and shared shower/toilet. Some rooms have a split-level layout, and all are non-smoking. The building has paper-thin walls and doors with loud electronic keypads that can be disruptive, especially at night. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs, as noise from the corridor, adjacent rooms, and the common area travels easily. The mattress is thin, and some rooms have exposed pipes next to bunks. Separate floors for men and women provide added privacy in the dorm sections.

Dining

An on-site café and bar open for breakfast, lunch and cocktail hour, serving European cuisine and a la carte options.
Breakfast is available for an additional 950 JPY and is a simple continental-style meal of toast, yogurt, and a drink, with rotating sandwich options (ham and cheese or chicken pesto). The café and bar area is open during breakfast, lunch, and cocktail hours, offering a welcoming space to work or socialise. Sides can include broccoli and wedges. A beer machine operates during happy hour (4 PM-7 PM). For guests who prefer lighter meals or are on a budget, convenience stores (7-Eleven and Lawson) are within a 2-minute walk. The bar is a social hub in the evenings, and the ground-floor space also hosts pop-up events on weekends.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, laundry facilities, a common kitchen, and a safety deposit box (additional charge).
Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the property. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out until 10 PM, and the property can hold luggage for guests with another booking within a week. Laundry (additional charge) is available with washers and dryers, but there are only two of each for the entire building, leading to wait times. A common kitchen with a fridge and microwave is accessible on some floors. The front desk can assist with fax/photocopying (additional charge) and provides invoice upon request. Safety deposit boxes for small valuables cost 1000 JPY deposit or 200 JPY per use (larger size). Towels can be rented for 200 JPY, and disposable slippers are provided. Shampoo and body soap are available in the shared bathrooms. The property has a lift, CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and 24-hour security. Pets are not allowed, and the property is entirely non-smoking with a designated outdoor smoking area. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, and MasterCard.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Request a private family room if you need a secure space for your luggage and a private door lock.

  • 02

Bring a padlock to use the small safety deposit boxes for wallets and passports; the lockers near beds are too small for suitcases.

  • 03

Arrive with coins for the luggage storage - it is free before check-in and after check-out until 10 PM, but larger lockers cost a non-refundable 200 yen.

  • 04

Plan to arrive between 16:00 and 23:00; late check-in is accepted only after prior notification, as the entrance closes at 11 PM.
