HOTEL MARITIME, Copenhagen

The hotel occupies a quiet street just behind Nyhavn's lively canal front, providing easy access to restaurants, bars, and attractions such as Tivoli Gardens and Christiansborg Palace. Copenhagen Airport is 7 km away and reachable via a 10-minute metro ride from the nearby station. The metro also connects to Malmö for day trips. Bicycle rental at the hotel offers an alternative way to explore the city's flat terrain and extensive cycle paths. While the central location makes most sights walkable, street noise from nearby bars and occasional construction can affect sleep, especially in front-facing rooms.

Breakfast includes buns with cheese, jam, or Nutella, Danish pastries, a selection of coffee, tea, juices, ginger shots, eggs, yogurt, and cereal. The meal is served as a plated option rather than a full buffet. The on-site bar and lounge offer cocktails, wine, beer, and soft drinks, along with a snack bar and coffee shop in the reception area. The restaurant provides vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free meal choices. For those preferring to dine out, numerous cafés and restaurants are within a 2-minute walk along the canal.

Leisure options are limited to the ground-floor spaces: a cozy bar and lounge with comfortable seating, board games, and a TV area. The hotel does not have a fitness centre, spa, pool, or sauna. Bicycle rental is available for an additional charge, providing an excellent way to explore Copenhagen's canals, parks, and neighborhoods. The electric vehicle charging station is a practical amenity for those driving.

The hotel offers a lift (operational 07:00-midnight), accessible parking, and valet parking for cars. Business centre and meeting/banquet facilities incur additional fees. Staff are friendly and helpful, assisting with taxi bookings, local recommendations, and early check-in or luggage drop-off before official check-in time. Room cleaning is not automatically provided during a stay; housekeeping is offered at an extra cost, so guests who require fresh towels or trash removal should request assistance at reception. Package deliveries are accepted free of charge by appointment. The hotel is a non-smoking property, with CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms for security.
