RAELI HOTEL SIRACUSA, Rome

The hotel sits on Via Marsala, right across from Termini - the central rail, metro, and bus hub for Rome. The metro (lines A and B) connects to the Vatican (Ottaviano stop, about 20 minutes), and the airport train to Fiumicino or Ciampino departs from the station. Ciampino Airport is 25 km away. The immediate area is busy with police presence, which many find reassuring at night, though some have felt the area can be crowded and less comfortable after dark. Numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops are within a few hundred metres, and many key landmarks are within walking distance or a short metro ride.

The breakfast buffet includes both sweet and savoury options, with bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, and hot drinks. Gluten-free items are available on request. Some have reported the breakfast as varied and generous, while others note it can be basic and repetitive, with limited hot food. The hotel has no on-site restaurant; however, dozens of restaurants and cafes are within a 5-minute walk, including Trattoria Dell'OMO, Ristorante Donati, and Bar Trombetta. A vending machine near reception provides snacks and drinks.

The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, a tour desk, and luggage storage - free both before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping is included, with towel changes. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. A paid airport shuttle is available (book after reservation), but there is no free pick-up. The hotel has a lift (capacity limited, e.g., 2 people) and key-card access with smoke alarms. No pets are allowed. Accepted payment methods: American Express, Visa, MasterCard. Parking is not available.
