The hostel occupies a former navy barrack on Skeppsholmen, a car-free island in central Stockholm. The Östasiatiska Museet bus stop (bus 65) is 150 metres away, with departures until 21:00. Kungsträdgården metro station is a 10-minute walk, making it practical for reaching Arlanda or central attractions. The island itself is very safe at night, with almost no through traffic, and offers direct access to Moderna Museet and Östasiatiska Museet on foot. For those arriving late, a taxi from Central Station takes about 10 minutes. The location balances seclusion with walkability to Gamla Stan and Stockholm's main sights.

Rooms are in the main building, featuring large windows, high ceilings, and views of the water or park. Private double rooms have a bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and parquet floors, and can sometimes be set up as a double on request. Single rooms with shared bathroom are available. Dormitories include a women-only 6-bed, mixed 6-bed, and a larger 16-bed room. The 16-bed dorm has larger lockers (suitable for a small suitcase), while 6-bed dorms have small lockers. Bring a padlock. Dorm guests must make their own beds. Rooms in the attic can be darker and have bright emergency exit lights. Soundproofing is limited, so noise from corridors or outside may be audible. Heating is provided; some rooms have air conditioning vents that cannot be turned off.

The breakfast buffet offers bread, pastries, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, and gluten-free options. The on-site café serves light meals, snacks, and coffee, and is open during the day. Restaurang #1 is open for lunch and dinner, with a family-friendly atmosphere, and can accommodate special dietary requests. The bar and snack bar provide additional options. For self-catering, the shared kitchen is well equipped with two stoves, refrigerators, and utensils, and offers views over the harbour. Packed lunches are available on request.

The property does not have a swimming pool or spa. On-site activities include billiards (additional charge), bicycle rental (additional charge), a games room, and free walking tours. Cycling and hiking (off-site) are possible, and the terrace and sun terrace provide outdoor seating. Board games are available for families. Bicycle parking is available outside the main building, which is safe at night.

WiFi is free in common areas. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage (free), lockers, safety deposit boxes (fee), and private check-in/out. Laundry costs 95 SEK per wash (dryer free). Ironing service is free. Meeting and banquet facilities are available for a fee.
